"Wild" Parakeet with large beak - Help.?

Postby corgin » Wed Sep 16, 2009 11:03 pm

My wife and I are taking a care of a parakeet that was discovered in the wilds of Austin. This bird has a very large beak. We would like to know if anyone has any suggestions. It seems to have eaten well and it was not malnourished but its Jimmy Durante size beak gives us pause. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

overly long beak trim it so it can eat its usually an organ disease, try bird vitamins, look at the poops see if its yellow or normal green with white center, keep it quarantined
