What up C.O.P.,

I think the hardest working player in the NBA is Kobe Bryant. Love him or hate him he gets beat up game in/game out and people forget that he's been in the league for 12 years-- he's had to work hard to keep himself in shape. During his earlier years- he was often criticized for "ONLY" being about basketball- while his teammates would hang out- he'd be in the gym, breaking down tape, etc.

There are a lot of stories from the Lakers too about how he would try new moves and stuff on his teammates. And if someone beats him in practice- he'd hound them to go at it again and again- he has a bit of that competitiveness that M.J. has- and especially early in his career he was known as just being a gym rat.

One of the things i remember about Kobe was that he got injured during the 1st half of a Laker game- and at halftime i saw Kobe shooting with his left hand and when he came back from injury he started to use that left a lot more. He's one of the few players who is constantly improving and working on his game.

BQ: i'm not sure- because i think Duncan wants to retire a Spur and their big 3 may not be enough to overcome the Lakers in the West and there are some really legit teams from the East too (Celtics, Cavs, Magic). If the Spurs get past the Lakers- i do hope Timmy D will get one more before he retires.

BQ2: It's a combination. Giftedness can sometimes make up for a lot of things- but you have to have the work ethic to put it together. Take a player like Kwame Brown for example- great basketball body- but has the worst hands in the world- and not the hardest worker in the world.

BQ3: Larry Bird- Larry Bird is a hall-of-famer... Nowitizki no guarantee he's a hall-of-famer- though at times i think he's under-rated.

BQ 4: Too old to try out for Basketball team (gradauted from High School a long time ago)... but i do play in a church basketball league.

Kobe, even if you hate the guy you have to respect him. I've seen some videos on his workouts and it's crazy. The amount of weightlifting and cardio he does, and then he puts in hundreds of shots daily. The guy is a workaholic.

1. It's definitely possible for him to get another ring, but highly improbable. The Spurs did get better offensively with adding Jefferson, but the loss of Bruce Bowen will hurt them. They are no longer the great defensive Spurs we have always been accustomed to. Duncan is starting to lag defensively, the guy is getting up there in age. The guys that always did the dirty work in their championship years are gone and replaced with older players past their prime like McDyess and Ratliff. I would bet no.

2. Combination of all of those. Worked their way up? Ben Wallace and Michael Redd are perfect examples. Work hard? Look at Kobe's work ethic. Born with it? Josh Smith, pretty much just athletic yet hasn't developed his game well.

3. Bird obviously. Dirk hasn't even won a championship with the Mavs.

4. Nope, I'm in college so I'll just be joining the intramural league.

1- looking at how tough the western conference is now, with the dominant lakers,
young gunz in new orleans,
no ones got swagger like denver,
quickly developing blazers,
they may they may not but one thing is for sure by looking at their new reamped roster including: mcdycess, jefferson they are contenders

2- i think its a little bit of both, you have to work you way, but also you have to have good genetics.

3- larry bird, 3 championships, 3x mvp, one of the most versitale offensive players of all time. and has something that dirk will never match, his competitive nature and heart. you shouldnt compare bird and nowitzki i think kobe bryant is a closer comparison.

4- sadly no, i've played basketball all my life, i love the sport but i have come to conclussion that im just not as talented or gifted as other athletes in my school, but i will not stop playing until im physically unable to.

Hardest working player has got to be Tayshaun Prince the Guy is a True Paper thin and he has to Gaurd the Big Small Fowards and does very well on them Like Paul Pierce or Lebron James hes a very hard worker in the Gym and he never gives up on a Opportunity to Block somebody from Behind or to take a wide open shot of Dunk on somebody hes one of the Hardest working players in the Game today

BQ-Well lets see Duncan is 33 right now i think he can Play untill 40 he has no signs of slowing down i think he could win 1 more but its going to be Tough with all the Young upcomming teams in the West

BQ2-Work Hard it takes the hard working to make it anywhere in life

BQ3-Larry Bird nuff said

It's gotta be Kobe. I remember last playoffs he was huffing and puffing from running so much after the game. I've also heard he calls his teammates at 3:00 in the morning to talk about the game plan.

BQ: I feel sorry for Tim. He's a good guy, but I do not think the Spurs will win anymore rings.

BQ2: I think it's a bit of both. Some guys work hard (like Pete Maravich) and get pretty good even if they aren't born with the talent. Though it does require some innate abilities. Some guys were born with the talent and work hard ala Kobe Bryant and Lebron James.

BQ3: Larry Bird. Dirk is good, but not as good as Larry. They guy talked s*** and made it happen. He was that good.

BQ4: Nope. I'm in the University...and well Basketball is extremely difficult to get into if you are a walkon.

its KB24 he gets up 4 in the morning and work out until 12 (not sure if its true but from all the interview and in olympics where most of his teammate were surprise how hard working he is)

BQ: We'll find out this season...his really getting old.

BQ2: You can't learn athleticism but you can learn technique. Like MJ he was really athletic but he practice hard to be a great shooter and to have really good body control.

BQ3: Larry Bird won championship when they were supposed to win, while Dirk Nowitzki couldn't win. Plus skill wise Larry Bird still better.

BQ4: No, I'm too short to play in college. hahaha
