What would you do if you found a tiny kitten?

Hi Ritz, I love little kitten as well. It’s really adorable. I would like to keep it as my pet if I have considerable time to take good care of it. I did keep cats and other animals as pet before. My neighbor is a cat lover as well. She keeps a few cats at the moment. I definitely will pass the little kitten to her if I were to come across any. I believe the little sweet kitten will grow up happily together with her other cats as well Happy posting

Its great that you have a neighbour who would help too. I think thats what I am becoming, "that lady up the road who takes in animals!"

Yeah Ritz. She is really a great freak of cat. I was told that one of her mother cats gave birth to 3 adorable baby kittens recently. She looked so happy. Her face expression looked so pleasant and amiable! Seemed like she had becoming a granny Yeah, I'm glad [em]happy[/em]to know that there are still some cat lovers here and there volunteer to take care of the abandoned cats Have a nice day!

I'd do what I always do. Kitten or grown cat, I'd take it in, & if I couldn't find a home for it, I'd keep it. I don't care if it breaks the rules, I'd still keep it, love it, & make it forget all about the harsh streets. Maggiepie"WHERE'S THE BIRTH CERTIFICATE?"

Aw, me too. Ive probably taken around 50 animals from the streets in the 10 years Ive lived in Spain, and you never harden to it. Ive got myself into all sorts of trouble with landlords and stuff, I just cant help myself.

I've never gotten into trouble, but I wouldn't care even if I did. To me, the helpless animal comes first, damn the consequences. One time I was at a friend's. She lived in a complex, & her apartment was being sprayed for bugs, so we were outside, in the warm sun, breathing good air. There was a crowd of people around the pool area, & I saw this teeny yellow tabby kitten totter up to the edge of the pool. She was trying desperately to stretch her neck out long enough to take a lap of (ugh) pool water, & trying not to fall in. I walked over to her & picked her up. She instantly began to purr. The poor little thing was covered with fleas, & had a dog's flea collar wrapped around her neck twice, which of course is deadly for cats (& she was already suffering from a discharge because of it), let along thirsty young kittens! I took a look around the area & loudly declared, "I don't care who thinks they own this kitten, she's MINE, now!"Maybe no-one there did, but no-one objected either. Maybe they were glad to be rid of her, or maybe they were simply ashamed at having taken such poor care of her. But I was ready to fight to keep this kitten, & make her happy & healthy. I did, too. I named her Leontyne Priceless, Tina for short. (Opera fans will recognize the reference...Hee) She was one of the sweetest, funniest & lovingest kitties I've ever known. I still miss her. awww!! I love kittys:)I would keep it in my house first of all. then i would put up posters saying "found kitten" and if no one claimed it I would either keep it or give it to some one who would take care of it.

I dont think Ive ever seen a "found Kitten" poster in Spain, they dont seem to care. Great idea in the right country, but if a kitten is found here, its usually dumped, thats why I had to take it in, no choice really. Thanks for your response.

Great story Ritz. It probably won't be long before little "chupito" is letting your dogs know who is their new boss. I took a kitten from a neighbor who was on the way to drown it. Well, the very unsociable "Rambo" and I were best mates for about seventeen years. Thanks for the memory of my departed mate.

You are spot on with the "chupito showing the dogs whos boss". I wish I had a video camera, the kitten was seriously beating up my small black dog, Jack, this morning. I live alone(except for the animals of course) and I was laughing so much I was crying, Im sure my neighbours think Im a loony tunes. LOL Sorry to remind you of a loss though, but isnt it funny how time makes the memories fond and no longer painful?
